DAV Chapter 8 may be able to provide a one-time financial assistance grant for up to $300 for Veterans in need. Grants may be awarded for the following circumstances:
* Rental assistance
* Utility assistance
* Transportation
Grants must be paid to the landlord or utility company and cannot be paid directly to the Veteran or family member. For debts of over $300, the Veteran must be able to demonstrate that they have the remaining amount due for the particular bill before a grant may be provided.
