First Remote Claims Station to increase access to Chapter Service Officers established today in Globe, Arizona.
February 4, 2026

The first remote claims station, a $30,000 project by Department of Arizona in conjunction with DAV Chapters and Service Officers across the state, will eliminate the need for Globe Veterans to travel 1 hour and 30 minutes each way to see a Service Officer to complete a VA benefits claim. It also opens up an opportunity for rural Veterans around Globe to come into town to have access to Service Officers. The program will go through continued testing and then goes into full swing on March 18th!

Special thanks to DAV Chapter 8 member Linda Merlin of Globe, Lois of Globe Elks Lodge 489 for hanging with us and providing support for delivery, setup, configuration, and testing of the remote claims station equipment, and Elks Lodge 489 Exalted Ruler Mariano Gonzalez for support and hosting of the remote claims station to assist area Veterans. One Team, One Fight!
