Car Wars Part V ~ The Air Force Strikes Back
March 25, 2026
DAV East Valley Chapter 8 was pleased to donate a Jeep Patriot SUV to a very deserving young US Air Force Veteran. Since being discharged from the Air Force, she had a difficult time finding a good job because she lacked transportation. As a disabled Veteran, we know that continuing to have a meaningful mission once we transition to civilian life is important in many ways. With this donation today, she is ready to get to work--and is getting assistance from Sally Harrison, President & CEO of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce!
Yes, sometimes it takes a community coming together to make magic work!

The surprise went off as planned! Our vehicle recipient was surprised when she was told that the car was for her.
Thanks to Heidi Snyder for picking her up and Lisa Patenge for occupying her time until the presentation could be made!

AFMQ Auto Detailing did a fabulous job of making the interior of the car shine as much as the exterior! But he went beyond that--he called colleagues with other specialties who fixed chips in the windshield, inspected the mechanical health of the car, and changed the oil and fluids...plus giving her a coupon for her next oil change free! The Chapter thanked him for his exceptional, above and beyond service, with two gift certificates for dinners.
